Now comedian Kathy Griffin will get some hands-on experience as it were.

She’s signed on to play a lesbian activist in an episode of “Law & Order: SVU” set to air in February.

In other Kathy Griffin news… her reality show “My Life on the D-List” has been picked up for another season on cable.
