Add Dennis Mehravar of Canada to the growing list of former clients who want a piece of James Arthur Ray.
Mehravar is one of the 57 or so survivors of the fatal October 8th sweat lodge ceremony that was part of Ray’s Spiritual Warrior retreat.
Three people died as a result of the sweat lodge.
Mehravar joins survivor Sidney Spencer in her legal action against James Ray. A separate civil case has been filed by the family of Liz Neuman of Minnesota, who died of her injuries more than a week after the sweat lodge.
Among other things, the lawsuits claim Ray didn’t properly monitor people in the sweat lodge tent, and misrepresented the dangers of the ceremony.
Mehravar’s attorney, Ted Schmidt, said Mehravar passed out inside the homemade tent and was hospitalized. Schmidt says his client still suffers pain and dizziness as a result.
James Ray’s people have taken a pass as far as commenting to the media.
