Dueling Divas: Unlikely Showdown Looming on American Music Charts

December 30, 2009 at 2:18 pm

It’s a brutal battle for the title of Queen of the 2009 music charts… a 48-year-old Scottish music business newbie, versus a 20-year-old all-American girl who’s been writing songs since she was a pre-teen in Pennsylvania.

And with just two days left in the year, it’s down to the wire as to whose album will sell more.

Susan Boyle’s debut album “I Dreamed a Dream” has sold 2.98 million copies.

Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” has sold 3.16 million copies this year.

This is going to be a squeaker.
