James Arthur Ray Perp Walk – The Director’s Cut

February 6, 2010 at 8:34 pm

In this business, more often than not, stories don’t age well.  A few days of exposure, and today’s headline makers become tomorrow’s litter-box liners.

Then there’s the case of James Arthur Ray.  Self-help expert.  Life coach.  New Age guru extraordinaire.

But it’s not so much the story of James Ray’s fall from grace that seems to have legs.

It’s that priceless video of Ray in prison orange, handcuffed and shackled, being led to and from his jail cell and a courtroom.

The man who once told an interviewer “I don’t have bad days…” would probably give anything to make that quote disappear.  The Big Cheese doubts it ever will.

See the James Ray walk of shame after the jump.  The money-shot begins at about :43 into the video.

I just bet JAR would love a change of venue all right. Yet another chance to spin the facts, and a captive audience to “razzle-dazzle” and sell baby sell. Even if he never admits it out loud, he’s got to know his goose is cooked. Sad, so sad, on so many levels. I guess he missed that part of the lesson which says “Use your power for GOOD – not evil.” Greed and/or ego will bring even the tallest of them down.

Peace
Christina
